Course overview
Most facial training teaches a fixed protocol. Skin does not work that way. This programme teaches you to read the barrier in front of you and build the treatment around what you find, which is the difference between a facial that photographs well and one a guest rebooks.
You will work through analysis, gua sha sculpting, micro-current and botanical actives, with a strong emphasis on sensitised and reactive skin. Sessions are small and entirely in-studio, because you cannot learn touch from a screen.
What you will learn
- Barrier-first skin analysis and how to spot compromise before you treat
- Cold-pressed botanical actives, layering and contraindications
- Gua sha and lymphatic sculpting technique
- Micro-current protocols and when not to use them
- Building a course of treatments rather than a one-off facial
- Aftercare prescribing and honest retail conversations
Who this is for
- Qualified therapists moving into botanical and barrier-led work
- Stylists adding skin services to their column
- Salon owners building a treatment room offer
- Therapists who mostly see sensitised or reactive skin
Before you start
- An existing beauty or aesthetics qualification, or two years of treatment room experience
- Insurance to practise facial treatments
- Aged 18 or over
- One regular model available across the six weeks
You leave with more than a certificate
Every graduate finishes with a photographed portfolio of their own work, an assessment record signed by their tutor, and an introduction to the salons in our partner network.
